SOMORA JOINS TECDOC

A New Route For Specialist Parts Supplier

Somora Motor Parts, Irelands leading importer and wholesaler distributor of body panels, lighting and radiators has joined the growing number of quality parts suppliers to list their products on the TecDoc electronic parts data system.

With their inclusion, motor factors and distributors across the 36 counties of Ireland that are using the TecDoc CATALOG parts identification system, can now find Somora parts when searching for replacement components. In addition to the Somora part number, users can also view the OE number, linked vehicles and Somora’s contact details.

Commenting on the development, Somora’s Cormac Moore said: “Obviously taking the decision to become a TecDoc data supplier was a big step for us as the system is usually associated with the big names in the parts business. However, TecDoc is the first place that most of our customers will look when identifying parts, so although it took us a little while to get everything in place with our internal systems and the data, it was ultimately an easy decision to take.

“We’d estimate that nine out of ten factors in Ireland use TecDoc, so we expect to substantially increase the exposure of our complete product range to these key customers.

“Naturally there are always issues that need to be ironed out and processes that need to be got used to when adopting any new system, but the initial data feed became live on TecDoc in January and we have already had some good feedback from our customers. The latest revisions should be on the system from April, by which time I think we’ll really start to see the benefits.”
