amk announce exclusive and unique UK Aftermarket offering for electronic pumps

Leading auto parts remanufacturer and distributor amk Automotive announces a new product to its range and indeed to the aftermarket as a whole; OEM Electric Pumps.

The 3rd generation fully electronic pumps use an electric circuit board to control the pump. These pumps have to be supplied new due to the complexity of the design and the fact that they must communicate with the vehicle ECU before they are fully functional.

amk have partnered with JTEKT Group (HPI) to exclusively offer to the UK aftermarket 3rd generation electric pumps pre-programmed to the vehicle ECU, creating the ultimate “plug and play pump”. amk are now stocking ‘ready to fit’ OEM Electric Pumps Pre-Programmed, with a warranty of 12 months/12,000 miles.

Simon Salloway, sales and marketing director of amk Automotive commented: “There are, of course, exceptions to the rule, but with amk working in partnership with JTEKT-HPI, we have developed the necessary software to programme the pumps to the vehicle ECU in-house here at our Dewsbury headquarters. The garage carrying out the work to fit the pumps needs to provide some simple information, such as vehicle chassis number and registration number, when placing the order with their motor factor.

“Once a garage places an order they can receive the pump the next working day and then can complete the job in a timely manner and without the hassle of finding extra storage space. It is also a fraction of the price compared to going through a main dealer.”

The pumps will 'initially' cater for the Peugeot 307, 407 and Citroen C4 vehicles but the range is expected to grow swiftly.
