Shrewsbury firm plans to boost exports with launch of new boiler

Shropshire-based company is hoping to set export sales alight with the launch of a new wood-burning boiler that sets new standards when it comes to combining style and efficiency.

Launched this month, the eVolution 26 offers a range of innovative features designed to maximise the potential of one of the most environmentally-friendly fuel sources.

John Reeves, Managing Director at Broseley, explained: “With the price of traditional fuels reaching an all time high and increasing awareness of the need to preserve natural resources, the launch of the eVolution 26 couldn’t come at a better time.”

In continental Europe, wood burners are already well established as the primary heating source in many homes. Broseley hopes that the eVolution 26 will help it to become one of the first UK firms to supply this highly regulated market.

“When we were designing the boiler, we had the European market very much in mind and so it has had to meet a number of stringent quality standards for sale in countries such as Germany,” John said.

“However, our UK customers can only benefit from this additional testing as we set out to show that British design can take on the world!”

The eVolution 26 was launched after many months of research and development by Broseley, which is based in Knights Way, Shrewsbury. As a result it is at the leading edge of wood burning technology, incorporating the company’s unique Safety Cold Water System (SCWS) that enables it to be connected directly to a sealed heating system without the need for extra feed and expansion tanks.

Tested to the very latest UK and European standards, the flagship stove in the eVolution range is 78 per cent efficient and has an output of 26kW, delivering 10kW of heat to the room and 16kW to provide hot water.

As a result it offers an increasingly viable alternative to increasingly expensive oil or gas fired systems as a primary source for providing heat and hot water in a wide variety of homes.

John continued: “When combined with other energy-saving products such as solar panels and/or a thermal heat store, the boiler has the potential to help householders significantly reduce their heating bills whilst relying on sustainable fuel sources.

“Furthermore, the eVolution boiler is made from a steel inner lined with vermiculite firebricks with a cast iron outer shell for reliability and durability. Meanwhile a contemporary, modern design with a large viewing area means it will look good in any home,” he added.

The RRP of the eVolution 26 boiler is £2,999.
