Carema Care has acquired Anemon Personlig Assistans AB, a quality leader in the field of personal assistance. The company’s operations are currently conducted in Lund, Sweden, with approximately 50 customers and about 400 employees. Takeover will occur on August 2, 2010.

Anemon Personlig Assistans AB will be part of Carema Care’s new Personal Assistance and Individual and Family Care operating area.

Anemon Personlig Assistans AB was formed in Lund, Sweden, in 1999. The company currently has agreements with 51 customers and approximately 400 employees, corresponding to 250 full-time positions. Anemon recruits, schedules and trains its teams of assistants, with the user participating in the selection process. The assistants’ employment is secured through collective agreements, extensive training activities, supervision and regular personnel meetings. Anemon offers its users advisory services pertaining to disability issues, assistance with communications with government authorities and help in planning their lives. Most users live in the Skåne region, with a small number in Blekinge and the Stockholm area. Half of the company’s users are children and young people. Anemon’s offices are located in Lund.
