Capio Santé, Capio Healthcare France, has appointed two new members to
its management staff. David Hillier has been appointed Chief Operating
Officer, effective immediately, and Yannick Martin has been appointed
Chief Medical Officer, effective February 2003.
"It is highly gratifying to announce that we are steadily making
progress in the establishment of our management team in France," says
Paul Hökfelt, Senior Vice President and Head of the Capio Healthcare
France business area. "David Hillier, who has many years of experience
in managing hospitals, will contribute a great deal of know-how and
synergies from our colleagues in the UK. Yannick Martin will start up a
completely new function for Capio Santé, to ensure that we can guarantee
our medical quality in the same manner as we do in other Capio Group
business areas. Our goal is to secure more operational involvement from
the business area's head office. David will be responsible for increased
control of the cost mass and Yannick for more integrated relations with
the independent medical corps."
David Hillier, 40, was formerly Hospital Manager of the Duchy Hospital
in Cornwall, a unit within the Capio Healthcare UK business area.
Yannick Martin, 42, is a surgeon and was in practice until 1997. In
accordance with French practice, he was a joint owner of the private
clinic in which he was active. Most recently, Yannick was President of
APAVE, a consulting firm specialising in quality assurance within the
healthcare sector.
