Following the public tender, Actica Omsorg has come to an agreement with
the municipality of Bærum to take over the operations of the nursing home
Bo och Behandlingshemmet Gullhaug.
Gullhaug, which lies in the municipality of Bærum in the Oslo region, is a
relatively new nursing home and considered to be one of the best in the
area. It is a four-year contract and the annual sales rate for Gullhaug
amounts to SEK 26 million. The acquisition is set for March 27, 2001.
"We are very happy to have won this tender and that the municipality of
Bærum regards us as a professional and sound actor with a new approach to
the organisation regarding the end user", says Sture Ericsson , VD Actica
Omsorg.
Gullhaug Bo och Behandlingshem is a new nursing home. The first stage was
ready in 1995 and the second in 1998. The nursing home has 56 rooms of its
own and is built so that seven residents share a common living-room and
kitchen. The facility makes it possible to find flexible solutions
regarding its organisation and staffing.
Actica Omsorg's operations span the entire spectrum of medical and
healthcare services in the elderly care sector and range from a high
degree of individual adaptation in home-care services to extremely care-
intensive nursing homes. Actica already runs Atriumgården in the
municipality of Bærum - a new care facility for seniors in the centre of
Sandvika.
Today, Actica has an annual sales rate of SEK 240 million, of which SEK 21
million in Norway. Actica Omsorg is a subsidiary to Capio AB, listed on
the O list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
