Access Radiologi AB opens
new radiology institute in Sandefjord
On September 3, Access Radiologi will open a new radiology institute in
Sandefjord, in the southern part of Vestfold County in Norway.
The new radiology institute will provide opportunities for MR (magnetic
resonance), CT (computer tomography) and ultrasound examinations, as
well as conventional X-rays. The institute will meet long-standing
radiology needs in the area and is expected to handle about 30,000
examinations each year.
"Through the Sandefjord Radiology Institute, patients and the county
will have access to a facility with modern radiology equipment, which
will relieve the current strain on hospital radiology units in the
southern part of Vestfold County in a highly positive manner, "says
Orwar Gustafsson, Head of Business Area Radiology.
Access Radiologi has operated the Tönsberg radiology institute in
Vestfold County for some time.
Access Radiologi is part of the Capio Group's Radiology Business Area
and is one of the leading radiology companies in the Nordic region. The
company has annual revenues of approximately SEK 360 M and carries out
around 500,000 radiology examinations each year.
