Bure acquires the remaining shares in Adapt Information Systems - Strengthens
IT for Health Care sector
Bure IT/InfoMedia has acquired the remaining 40 per cent of the shares in
Adapt Information Systems from Frontec. At the same time, the collaboration
with UDAC in IT for Health Care is being strengthened. With a clear ownership
structure in both companies, synergies in supply of services and product
development can be utilised even better.
Bure IT/InfoMedia acquired 60 per cent of Adapt Information Systems in 1996.
Operations are concentrated on active IT support in care processes. Since the
acquisition, Adapt has broadened its supply of services and now, among other
things, forms an important part of Bure Health Care's build-up of managed care
systems. Because Bure is the sole owner of the company, prerequisites increase
for more intensified collaboration with UDAC.
"During 1997, Adapt has invested substantial resources in product and market
development. Through co-ordination we will now be able to utilise in full the
synergies between Adapt and UDAC," says Bengt Belfrage, Managing Director of
UDAC and Head of IT for Health Care in Bure. "An integrated structure will
strengthen the companies' competitiveness and makes it possible to explore our
various business opportunities at a more rapid rate."
IT for Health Care forms part of Bure IT/InfoMedia's IT Services Business
Sector. For 1997, the Business Sector's invoiced sales are expected to amount
to approximately SEK 100M.
