TV actress Rita Simons is calling on all generations of men, women and children to join her for the annual Generations Walk in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign this June.
The BBC star from North London is taking part in the 5k walk at Hampstead Heath on Sunday 12 June to support the 48,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year.
She said: “I’m thrilled to take part in the Generations Walk for Breast Cancer Campaign. So many people are affected by this disease, from patients to their loved ones, so it’s important we keep supporting breast cancer research. I hope lots of families will join me on the day and help raise money for this very worthwhile cause, it should be a really fun day out for all.”
The 13th annual walk starts at 11am and costs just £10 for adults, £5 for under 12s. Each participant will receive a Generations Walk pink t-shirt, achievement medal and the walk’s organisers will also host a free picnic lunch at Kenwood House.
Elizabeth Walker, Special Events Manager at Breast Cancer Campaign, said: “We’re delighted that Rita is joining us for this year’s Generation Walk and, with more than 100 people already signed up, we’d love more families to come along on the day and help us continue funding world-class breast cancer research.”
If you and your family would like to join Rita at this year’s Generation Walk please visit
