Sky Sports presenter joins the race to beat breast cancer

Press Release

For immediate release: XX July 2011

Sky Sports presenter Sarah-Jane Mee is calling on all women across London and the south to join her in the race to beat breast cancer at the adidas Women’s Challenge in September.

The TV presenter has already laced up her running shoes to train with professional fitness and lifestyle consultant Sarah Maxwell and wants you to join her on Sunday 11 September to run 5k in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign.

Sarah-Jane said: “I’m thrilled to run for Breast Cancer Campaign as the charity funds world-class breast research to help benefit the 48,000 people who are sadly diagnosed with this disease each year. The race is a great opportunity for women of all ages to get together and support this worthwhile cause so I hope lots of women will join me on the team and help Campaign continue their mission to beat breast cancer.”

Sarah added: “The adidas Women’s Challenge is a great event for novice runners who want to get in shape while raising money to support breast cancer research. Regular exercise such as running is also important in reducing the risk of a number of diseases including breast cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, colon cancer, and osteoporosis.”

So if you would like to join Sarah-Jane and Sarah on this year’s team, please call 0207 749 4114 or email
