Royal Bank of Scotland wear it pink in support of Breast Cancer Campaign

Last Friday staff at the Royal Bank of Scotland, St Helens, organised a day of pink themed activity in support of Breast Cancer Campaign’s annual wear it pink day.

All staff on Friday 28 October donned an item of pink and donated £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign. The Banking Hall was decorated prettily in pink and a sweepstake game was available for staff to play. A customer raffle was held for the duration of the week and included an array of pink prizes! Children were also included in the pink themed fun and could enter a colouring competition, all to help fund world class breast cancer research

Royal Bank of Scotland has supported Breast Cancer Campaign for a number of years and is committed to raising as much as possible for the charity which aims to beat breast cancer.

Omar Mohammed, Media Relations Manager said: "Breast Cancer Campaign plays an incredibly important role in communities across the country, communities in which we all live and work. Our wear it pink day created a fantastic buzz in the office and we were delighted to make a contribution to the great work they do"

Last year hundreds of thousands of people took part in wear it pink raising a staggering £2.5 million for breast cancer research to help improve survival rates for the one in eight women who experience breast cancer during their lifetime. Every year, some 48,000 are diagnosed with breast cancer and wear it pink helps to fund vital research into the disease which affects so many.

If you missed wear it pink this year, do not worry as you can wear it pink anytime! For only £2 Breast Cancer Campaign challenge you to wear it pink, at work, at home or at school and help save lives.
