Charity calls on adventure seekers for the challenge of a lifetime!

Press release

For immediate release: November 2011

Breast Cancer Campaign is calling on all adventure seekers to sign up for their exclusive trek to the Great Wall of China from 1 – 9 April 2012.

It is the perfect chance to explore a new and exciting country with the added bonus of helping Breast Cancer Campaign fund vital research into breast cancer. Participants should register as soon as possible to allow time to train and raise sponsorship.

The trek is demanding but incredibly rewarding. You start in Jinshanling with a vigorous trek that loops along the mountains either side of the Gubeikou Gateway. On completion, you will return to Beijing to explore some of the many attractions of China’s capital city such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Lama Temple.

Kelly Walton, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Events Executive said “In total, our overseas challenge events raised more than £310,000 last year and we are really hoping that we can beat that total this year so we can continue to fund breast cancer research projects.

“So if you’re looking to take on an exciting new challenge and get fit in 2012, sign up now to our Great Wall of China trek and help Breast Cancer Campaign make a positive impact for the 48,000 people that are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.”

If you can’t make this date then don’t worry. Breast Cancer Campaign has different treks available throughout 2012. For more information or to sign up for Campaign’s Great Wall of China trek please call 0207 749 4114 or visit www.breastcancercampaign.org
