Josh’s big race to help beat breast cancer
Budding runner Josh Serjent from Winterbourne Down, Bristol pounded the pavements on Sunday as he took on the Bath Bath Half Marathon for Breast Cancer Campaign.
The CAD Technician joined more than 10,000 runners for the 13.1 mile race to support his mother Louise who was successfully treated for breast cancer seven years ago. Josh was thrilled to finish the race in one hour and 53 minutes and has raised more than £500 to help fund vital breast cancer research.
He said: The race was very well organised and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was amazing, along with the great support from Campaign staff and the spectators really made a positive difference. Running for such a great cause spurs you on right to the end and gives you real determination to finish.”
If you would like to run a race for Breast Cancer Campaign, please call 0207 749 3700 or visit

As part of the team you will automatically become members of Linford’s All Stars – a new exclusive club captained by Linford Christie, who offers all his supporters helpful training tips and nutritional advice.
