Informationstjanst Ab start a co-operation in distributing press releases.
Both companies offer services in distributing press releases for Finnish
companies and communities.

From the beginning of March BIT can offer STT´s release distribution
services to its clients and get access to the release distribution network
that covers the most important media in Finland. This co-operation also
gives STT´s customers the possibility to use BIT´s electronic distribution
channels to get international coverage for their releases.

STT is a news agency owned by the leading media in Finland. STT produces
news and other information products for media, companies and
administrative organisations. The subscribers of STT´s news service
include approximately 100 newspapers and other publications, national
broadcasting company Yle, 40 TV -and radio channels, 20 web publications
and approximately 100 companies and communities. STT´s other products like
the release service and the calendar service has in addition hundreds of
more subscribers. STT´s turnover for 2000 was 67,4 million and the profit
was 5,8 million. STT employs 143 people of which 117 are editors.
