A new statue was unveiled on Saturday at St Deiniol’s Library in Hawarden, Flintshire.
“Wisdom”, created by Tom Waugh, the prize winning stone carver and grandson of the novelist Evelyn Waugh, was commissioned by the Library in 2009 as part of the Library's celebrations to mark the bicentenary of the birth of William Gladstone.
