Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Van der Windt has supplied the film packaging for a new Superunie loyalty programme campaign.
The six supermarket chains that form Superunie have been handing out Triqos packed in an attractively-printed film since 27th August 2011.
Triqo is a new, educational toy for children aged between five and 12. Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Van Der Windt, based in Honselersdijk, has supplied sufficient packaging material, also including stand-up pouches and inner bags, for more than 25 million Triqos.
The project was produced for Naber Plastics, a partner of Van der Windt Verpakking and the manufacturer of the Triqo toy.
John van Winden, Business Sales Manager Food Packaging at Van der Windt Verpakking, said: “The project was completed against the clock – it was a large order and we had to buy-in the material specially. The scarcity of raw materials on the global market has meant much longer delivery times. Despite this we succeeded in supplying all the film packaging on time.
“Naber Plastics sought a supplier who also had the in-house expertise needed to handle such a large-scale loyalty campaign properly. During the preparatory phase we spent a lot of time with Naber Plastics and Triqo looking at all the options.”
The manufacturers are hoping the Triqos will become the latest playground craze and it is being handed out in all the Superunie shops: all Coop, Deen, Boni, Poiesz, Agrimarkt and MCD supermarkets are taking part in the nationwide campaign, a total of 400 shops, in which customers will receive a Triqo if they spend more than 10 euro or purchase selected products.
