Accent Equity acquires Nordic Shelter Solutions

The private equity fund Accent Equity 2008 and company management have acquired Nordic Shelter Solutions (NSS) from investors represented by Helmet Business Mentors. NSS Group, is Northern Europe’s leading company within the fields of rental and sales of tarpaulins, weather shelters and halls as well as sale of transport protection. NSS Group is represented in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Russia, the Baltics and Poland. The company’s revenue amounts to EUR 64 million and has a staff of 125 people.
NSS’ origin dates back to the 1830s when Scott William Gibson founded ”The Factories of Jonsered” for the manufacturing of sailcloth and cordage in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tarpaulins were introduced already in the 1950s and weather shelters in the 1980s. NSS is still operating the Jonsereds brand and in addition with the brands Hallbyggarna, Lainapeite, Nordic Hall and IPS Dansk Presenning and in addition the trade mark Gibson being a sophisticated patented weather shelter.
NSS is today Northern Europe’s leading company within the field of advanced weather protection for demanding application areas. NSS’ business has grown out of its home markets in Sweden and Finland to the Nordic region and Eastern Europe – in Russia where the company is represented by a local Russian organisation.
NSS’ success is based on a very high level of knowledge and engineering excellence. This enables the company to be the natural first choice as new European construction norms are putting more demand on “Construction under roof”.
