Official opening of district heating plant – a joint venture between AAK and Kar...

On Tuesday, the new district heating plant – a joint venture between AAK and Karlshamn Energi (KEAB) – was officially opened by Lena Sommestad, President of Svensk Fjärrvärme, the Swedish District Heating Association.
The new district heating plant is the result of a joint project, in which AAK will supply reserve heat whenever KEAB’s usual supplier, Södra Cell in Mörrum, shuts down for maintenance work.

Small fire in the production area of AAK in Aarhus, Denmark

This afternoon there was a small fire in the production area of AAK in Aarhus, Denmark; more specifically in the Soap Splitting plant. The fire has been put out, and there are no serious injuries. An AAK employee was hit by some ”drops” of hot oil on his arm, which resulted in a few blisters. This was treated at the site.
