1 800 GET THIN and Lifetime Channel Supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Los Angeles, California (November 2011) – The Lifetime Channel and 1 800 GET THINteamed up for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Lifetime Channel viewers were encouraged to visit their website to learn more about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.
Visitors to the Lifetime website discovered valuable tools to increase breast cancer awareness in their local areas and take action against the disease. The site also offered tips on how to support their loved ones and provided inspirational stories from breast cancer survivors. Site visitors also had the option to sign an online petition that aimed “to protect breast cancer patients from drive-through mastectomies.”
